Down on the Farm

For two weeks we have been learning all about farms, along with the letters Ff and Yy. This week we were lucky enough to meet some REAL farmer,s Farmer Cheri, Farmer Dick and Farmer Jack!

On Wednesday, we learned about what it's like to raise dairy or beef cows. Cheri, Dick and Jack showed us photos from their farms.

Also we talked about what comes from a cow... there's much more than just milk! Farmer Cheri showed us all different types of items that we might have never expected could have come from cows.
We know cows give us milk, ice cream, and other dairy products, but there is so much more!! Can your Kindergartner remember some of the other type of things that are partly made from cows?

On Friday, we got to make our own ice cream (from milk!) and EAT it! See below for some photos from our FARM-tastic experience!
