First Quarter Complete!

We have completed our first quarter in Kindergarten! As we move along, please help reinforce the skills we learn by practicing them at home.  The students get many daily opportunities to practice their skills at school, but will also benefit from 1-on-1 help in a quiet atmosphere at home.  These are some of the skills that the students should be able to do.

Say the names and sounds of these letters:
Aa, Mm, Ss, Oo, Bb, Hh, Nn
(They should know both upper case and lower case even when the letters are separated).

Read these words without help:
I, we, you, me, my, a, see, said, have, not, no

Recite the days of the week and four seasons

Count groups of at least 10 objects, count out loud to 35, and correctly print and identify the numbers 0-15

Reinforcement through daily practice will help your Kindergartner do his/her best in school! Please see the "Kindergarten Skills" tab to see the skills your child will be expected to master by as the school year progresses.
