This week the Kindergartners were learning "All About Me." In Science and Social Studies we experimented with using each of our five senses. Can your Kindergartner remember all five? See below for photos of our taste testing activity on Friday.
In Math, we introduced how to count and print the numerals 1-5 and practiced making patterns. Next week will be a review of numerals and patterning. Please work with your Kindergartner at home to continue to reinforce these skills. In Language, we learned how to print our first name. Now that we have learned this, the Kindergartners will be expected to print their name this "Kindergarten Way" all the time. They also learned to type their first names on a computer, and will be typing their name on the computer every morning as a sign-in activity. Everyone made "My Me Book" to share about his/her family, house, pet, favorite food, and what he/she wants to be as a grown up. We also made a class book about our feelings and moods.
Next week's theme will be Me and My Family. We will have our first letter of the week: Mm-man-/m/. The words of the week will be my, me, mom, and dad.
