MAES students enjoyed wearing hats to school on Wednesday as part of the "Hats for Hope" fundraiser. The money collected is being sent to Greenwood Lake Elementary School on the east coast to be used to help families who have been affected by Hurricane Sandy. MAES students and staff were featured on News Channel 9 on Wednesday night.
Many children in our class were able to bring in donations and enjoyed wearing a hat for a day. This event was a great opportunity for us to learn about helping others in a time of need, and recognize how fortunate we are to have a safe place to live and learn. Thank you for your participation in this very worthy cause. On Wednesday, MAES students were able to raise a total of $1,328.40. Many families will be blessed by your generosity!!
COMING UP: On Wednesday, November 21, County Market will be contributing to Hats for Hope by donating $.10 per every gallon of milk or loaf of County Market bread that they sell. As you prepare for your Thanksgiving meal, please think about helping the victims of Hurricane Sandy by shopping at County Market for your bread and milk.
