It was a great first day in Mrs. Brown's Kindergarten! There were 18 new friends to meet: 10 girls and 8 boys. It was a busy day! All the Kindergartners did a fantastic job learning the rules, routines and procedures for our classroom and school. We read some fun stories about the first day of Kindergarten, practiced some counting, and drew a self portrait so that we can always remember what we looked like when it was our first day. At the end of the year, the students will see their self portraits again so that they can see how far they've come.
I hope you have the chance to talk to your child tonight about how his/her first day went. I'm looking forward to many more days with this wonderful new class of Kindergartners!
